Noisily Festival of Music & Arts has unveiled its full line up and once again its is a fine mix of cross-genre sounds by stars old and new.
This cultural gathering offers weekend long camping, plenty of wellness offerings, Mind Body Soul healing areas, art markets, yoga, bodywork, therapies, sound healing, three main stages and satellite venues around the woods near Market Harborough, Leicestershire from 9 - 12 July 2020.
In 2020 the theme is ‘We Are Nature’, "wherein all artists have been encouraged to keep our fragile environment at the centre of their planning and production." It sounds fascinating for sure and here are five of the best acts to catch this year.
DJ Storm
Goldie set up Metalheadz with Doc Scott, but it was friends Kemistry & DJ Storm who established the label. Not only were they long-term residents of the Metalheadz nights in the Blue Note, but they also took charge of press, bookings, sales and A&R, signing up and making stars of the likes of Photek and Lemon D. Kemistry tragically lost her life in an accident many years ago by DJ Storm keeps the vibes alive each and every time she plays.
Adrian Sherwood
For over 40 years now, forward-thinking sound scientist and mixologist Adrian Sherwood has been dubbing it up, keeping the faith when others have fallen away and blowing minds and speakers alike. Producer, remixer, and proprietor of the British dub collective/record label On-U Sound, he has long been regarded as one of the most innovative and influential artists in contemporary dance and modern reggae music.
Goldie
2020 saw Metalheadz turn 25 years old, but still Goldie's iconic label continues to turn out razor sharp EPs from talents old and new. He himself is still right at the forefront of the scene - maybe not as often as a producer these days - but as a DJ he still knows how to lay it down. As an all time great you don't ever want to miss a Goldie set.
OC Verde
OC & Verde have had plenty of support from tastemakers like Pete Tong who announced them as New Names for 2018, Danny Howard who made one of their remixes Friday Fire on his Radio 1 show, and Adam Beyer. They have released their huge tunes on Bedrock and Knee Deep In Sound before now and often climb into the Beatport Top 10. They're touring with Pleasurekraft this summer and are on fire right now.
Layo & Bushwacka
This pair have done it all over the years. They are tech house Titans who helped define the genre first time round and continue to lead it form the front with their fresh productions and edgy sets of slick beats. After going their separate ways before now they are back together again and doing what they do best.
