This year’s 25th Anniversary Lollapalooza will go down as one of the best in the history books. Many of the 300,000 plus festival goers went the four-day distance and danced their asses off to the world’s most popular bands. Some skeptics might have thought that the energy would not last the course of the weekend, but if you watch this recap video of Big Gigantic shaking the grounds at Perry’s Stage on Saturday night, you’ll see what some heavy electronic music can do to a sea of hungry fans.
Big G welcomed several friends on stage including Jennifer Hartswick, Pell, Snails and Waka Flocka. The energy of this show is on the highest level and the band has proclaimed it as one of their favorite sets of all time. This all comes as a precursor to Big Gigantic’s forthcoming album, Brighter Future, which comes out August 26th.
Telling his inspiration for the album, Dominic Lalli wrote, “So many things in the world are worse than we’ve ever seen in my lifetime. So much fear, anger, hate, insecurity, confusion and outright evil at its most boiling point”. “Music is a universal language where, no matter where you are from or what language you speak, everyone can feel moved by a song or a melody”. “I think now more than ever, we need to come together and work towards a Brighter Future for us, for our children and for the human race as a whole.” To see all these truly heartfelt words, take a peek at the Big G website.
Features on the new album will include Waka Flocka Flame, Logic, Griz, Cherub, Pell, Rozes, Angela McCluskey, Naaz, Jennifer Hartswick & Natalie Cressman. One of the tracks on the album “Miss Primetime” Featuring Pell, was described in a Billboard interview as a hip-hop/jam love story. The newest track that was just released “Got The Love”, featuring Jennifer Hartswick, has to be one of the most danceable songs of the summer. Get ready to boogie down when you feast your ears on Brighter Future!
