Coachella 2016 has officially begun! It will run through Sunday, April 24th, taking place at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival historically features all kinds of music genres, including indie, rock, hip hop, and electronic music. Below are some updates surrounding Coachella, as well as, tips on how to see all your favorite performers!
As to be expected, there are some amazing performers on the roster this year. You won’t want to miss big names like Guns N’ Roses, Calvin Harris, Ellie Goulding, Ice Cube, Zedd, Sia and Sufjan Stevens. There were a few issues with the original Coachella lineups, but they have been ironed out and changes have been made to the schedule.
As always with these big music festivals, you’ll have to pick and choose the artists you want to see most. There are some conflicts in scheduling with big performers like GRIMES and Guns N’ Roses, as well as, M83 and The Underworld. It’s a little tricky to get to two shows performing at the same time, but if you really can’t decide between your favorite artists, it’s worth a shot!
There are six stages at the Empire Polo Club, so be sure to keep a schedule close at hand so you don’t miss out on any performers. One option to deal with scheduling conflicts is by using the FestEvo app for Coachella and other festivals, before you head to the festival. Once you’ve downloaded the app, you can search your event, view artists on the lineup, plus listen to and rate your favorite artists. It will keep you connected to all the vital information you need all in one place.
While General Admission Coachella tickets are sold out for both weekends, there are still some Outstanding in the Field dinner tickets available for weekend two. If you’re kicking yourself for missing out, pick some up before it’s too late! Or, make sure you jump on Coachella 2017 tickets which should be released shortly after this year’s extravaganza. Make sure you stay tuned for more details!
