Countdown to Pitchfork Music Festival 2016 Has Begun!

Pitchfork Music Festival returns for its 11th year this July 15-17 at Union Park in Chicago, IL. Pitchfork has become known for featuring new and emerging music. Another solid trait about the festival is that Pitchfork tickets are known for being some of the most affordable music festival tickets around.

Pitchfork Music Festival 2016 lineup is set to feature more than 40 bands throughout the three-day weekend. Below is a list of performers in the Pitchfork lineup from each day you don’t want to miss:

Friday: Beach House, Broken Social Scene, Carly Rae Jepsen, Moses Sumney, The Range

Saturday: Sufjan Stevens, Brian Wilson, Savages, BJ the Chicago Kid, Girl Band, Jlin, Circuit Des Yeux.

Sunday: FKA twigs, Miguel, Jeremih, Porches, The Hotelier, Thundercat, Woods, NAO, LUH, Sun Ra Arkestra.

Every year, Pitchfork strives to keep festival-goers fully entertained the entire time they are on the festival grounds. One way to keep everyone happy is by having 50 different vendors—including some Chicago favorites like Leghorn Chicken, Wishbone, Wow Bao, Robinson’s and Chicago Diner.  You can also check-out other festivities like Flagstock, CHIRP Record Fair, Coterie Craft Fair and Book Fort.

Pitchfork 2016 will even feature a kid’s area hosted by Old Town School of Folk Music. It will be open Friday 3-6pm, plus, Saturday and Sunday 12-6pm. Inside, kids will have the chance to play with instruments and make their own music.
