Counter.Point Comes Back To Life

Rome, GA – April 27, 2014 – CounterPoint Music & Arts Festival will resumed at 7:00 p.m. following a postponement due to inclement weather conditions.

Festival-goers were evacuated this afternoon from the event grounds and directed by staff and Floyd/Bartow County officials to seek shelter in their vehicles until the storm safely passed.

Organizers working with Floyd/Bartow County representatives have been monitoring the storm and have determined weather conditions are safe for concert-goers to return and for CounterPoint to resume.

Today’s updated schedule can be found on CounterPoint’s official website, Facebook and Twitter.

“We want to thank the tens of thousands of festival goers, staff and artists who calmly and safely exited the concert field and back to their cars today,” said Jonathan Fordin, partner of MCP Presents, the promoter for CounterPoint. “We also applaud and thank Floyd/Bartow Counties for their help, cooperation and commitment to making CounterPoint a safe and enjoyable experience for all.”
