On January 10, Day Zero will be making its highly-anticipated return to the magical realm of Tulum for an eighteen-hour musical voyage. Following a momentous gathering in the Masada last month, the event will be touching down in the mystic Mexican jungle with a sensational lineup.
This will be the first Day Zero for many, including GRAMMY-winning Dubfire, Berlin heroine Ellen Allien, Keinemusik’s &Me, house and techno legend Luciano, minimal giant Priko and eclectic duo Concert.
The Crosstown Rebels family will be there in full force, as Art Department, Bedouin, Francesca Lombardo, Serge Devant, Tibi Dabo and Yulia Niko will all be gracing the decks.
Live music acts include fellow Crosstown member Ae:ther and sitar wizard Sidartha Siliceo, who has been an essential element to the series with his futuristic rendition of classical northern Indian sounds.
Audiofly and Black Coffee will be returning to the series, and, of course, the man of the hour, Damian Lazarus.
While the Mayan Calendar came to meet its mortal end in 2012, Day Zero rose from the ashes in celebration of ancient tradition through futuristic soundscapes. In a time where event series are largely taking over the underground music scene, Damian Lazarus has curated a top-tier event through high caliber lineups and remarkable venues.
The event has also extended its presence past the ‘party’ level, as it encompasses some of the pillars of Burning Man, such as ‘Leave No Trace.’ The experience encourages a total immersion of the mind, body and spirit, rekindling the magic of human connection and cultural connectivity, while developing strong relationships with the local community. Tickets to Day Zero are on sale now.
