Curators of the inaugural Deep Roots Mountain Revival Music and Arts Festival, kicking off September 15-18, have released tickets, camping and travel info, plus, have unveiled the full Deep Roots Mountain Revival lineup! The Deep Roots Mountain Revival 2016 lineup will unfold on the legendary Marvin’s Mountaintop in Masontown, West Virginia. This venue is the site of the original All Good Music & Arts Festival. Deep Roots is hoping to bring West Virginia back into the music festival scene.
As it stands, the Deep Roots Mountain Music and Arts Festival lineup includes Greensky Bluegrass, Jamey Johnson, Leftover Salmon, The David Grisman Sextet, Ricky Skaggs and Kentucky Thunder, Marty Stuart & His Fabulous Superlatives, Blackberry Smoke, Melvin Seals & JGB, Zack Nugent’s Dead Set (featuring members of Trey Anastasio Band, Melvin Seals, and more) Cabinet, Shooter Jennings with Waymore’s Outlaws, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, The Black Lillies, The Hip Abduction and many more performers.
Deep Roots Mountain Revival is looking forward to hosting top-tier bluegrass, jam band, rock and country performers. The West Virginia backdrop is an idyllic venue for the festival, featuring mountains right at the fingertips of festival-goers. Festival curators are passionate about this particular venue. Deep Roots founder, Claude Ryan says, “First and foremost, we wanted to reconnect the local community with a festival scene that our region had lost.” This will be the first major music festival taking place at Marvin’s Mountaintop since 2012.
