This weekend, April 27 - 30, the Desert Hearts Crew will welcome a few thousand loyal fans to The Los Coyotes Indian Reservation (just outside of San Diego in Warner Springs, CA) for 4 days celebrating life and music and 72 hours of non-stop music (yes, that means that once the music starts, it won't stop until the festival ends!) as Desert Heart Festival 2018 commences for the masses. The Desert Hearts Festival lineup includes Damian Lazarus (4-hour set), Mikey Lion, Lee Reynolds, Porkchop, Marbs, Anabel Englund, Kenny Glasgow, Sacha Robotti, Worthy, wAFF, Doc Martin (featuring Sublevel), Option 4, Sunshine Jones and many more.
In addition to the non-stop music, what makes Desert Hearts Festival unique is the overwhelming sense of community. Considering the Deserts Hearts Crew ("Papa" Lee Reynolds, Mikey Lion, Porkchop and Marbs) are all blood, it's no surprise that they provide a warm welcome to those who love coming to their events.
The family also provides a rare environment to party. Their events are well-known as extremely well-organized free-for-alls; meaning, they provide a safe place that people can do what they want to do while being respectful to others around them and the land they're enjoying themselves on. This does not mean, bring a shit ton of fireworks and get ready for a Nascar-style rager. Just bring your good behavior with and get ready to let loose is all I'm saying.
One piece of information I hate to break to you is that Desert Hearts Festival 2018 tickets have sold out, HOWEVER, like I always say when it comes to sold-out events, "if there's a will, there's a way." If you really want to go, make it happen! Start hopping on social media groups now and put out some feelers out for extra tickets on your own profiles. You can always show up and pray for a 'miracle,' but don't bank on that one.
