From playing basements in the farmlands of Illinois to playing stages of international music festivals and venues around the globe, J. Phlip, aka the queen of Claude VonStoke’s Dirtybird Records, is gracing the stage at SpyBar Chicago on Friday, November 14th.
Her North American tour, appropriately named the Everybody On The Floor tour, is J. Phlip’s (aka Jessica Phillippe) first time headlining a tour of this magnitude. During Jessica’s North American tour performances she’ll b be joined with long time native in the DJ scene, Monty Luke.
J. Phlip has been hailed for her knowledge of music and the ability to deliver seamless transitions for the entirety of her performance. Rarely playing samples from the top 100’s list, she digs deep to bring the heat. J. Philp’s sounds are always unique and not just another regurgitated hit we’ve all heard time and time again.
In addition to venues she’ll be visiting on her tour, she’s also making a big impact in the festival scene.
After a Boys Noize’s unexpected cancellation at Movement in Detroit, J. Phlip stepped up and dropped on of her most groundbreaking performances of her career. She just returned from HARD Day of the Dead and has been fortunate to play at festivals like Ultra, Electric Forest, Coachella and HARD Summer.
J. Phlip’s remaining US festival performances include Verboten in Brooklyn, New York, and at SnowGlobe Music Festival in beautiful Lake Tahoe.
J. Phlip shows no signs of slowing down as she continues be a step apart from the rest and has the will to play wherever and whenever she can on her path to international stardom.
Tickets to see J. Phlip turn SpyBar into a boiling pot of deep acid-techno are still available; just get them ASAP because this event will sell out!
