For his 10th album, Chicago born Ed Harris who goes by the stage name, Edamame, has joined up with the ambient electronic icon, Emancipator on his label Loci Records “Ochre”, is musical transcendentalism, enlightening the aura and calming the soul.

In his early years, Harris started his music career as a trombonist and for a period of time he toured nationally as the vocalist for a death metal band.  He eventually grew out of his desire for viciously screaming into the microphone and made a huge transition to life as Edamame.

Edamame’s latest release “Ochre”, explores the experimental sounds of music inspired by the outdoors and the worlds divergent cultures.  When listening to the tracks on this album, which were inspired by a music festival trip to Guatemala, you will hear the recordings of organic samples taken in the heart of nature and orchestrating music that enlightens the mind.

We are bound to see Edamame’s presence gracing the stages of many venues and festivals to come.  Coming up soon is his slot in the silent disco of North Coast Music Festival in Chicago, Illinois this Labor Day weekend.  But don’t wait till then.  Take some time right now to enjoy Edamame’s newest release “Ochre”.
