Attendees of Elements Music and Arts Festival in 2015 reported an excellent time in South Brooklyn. Attendees of last year’s Elements Fest flooded Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram, and Facebook feeds with posts showcasing how “live” the festival was. With rave reviews, Elements Music and Arts Festival 2016 was bound to return.
On Saturday August 13th, 2016, Elements Festival will take place at the address 699 Columbia Street, Brooklyn. Located on a dock in the Red Hook area of Brooklyn, Elements Festival transportation is available via the F or G subway to the Smith-9th Street station, or via the New York Water Taxi to the Ikea Dock.
Promoters BangOn!nyc are well known for throwing strong underground events around Brooklyn. Their annual BangOn Halloween and New Year’s Eve bashes are must-see warehouse shows, with music, art, and performers creating a perfect vibe. BangOn’s Elements Festival will create the same vibe outdoors on the Brooklyn waterfront. Elements Fest will be themed around the four elements – water, earth, fire, and air – and a surprise fifth element.
The scheduled musical performers appeal to a wide variety of electronic music tastes. Headliners include Gramatik, Claptone, and Mija – three well known DJs with very distinct styles. The record label Zero will host the Air stage, featuring Blond:ish, Yokoo, and Oona Dahl. Desert Hearts, a collective which has grown a cult following, will host the mysterious fifth element stage.
As Jay-Z once said, “after the show it’s the after-party.” The BangOn Elements Festival 2016 after-party will take place at new club Analog BKNY. Analog is only a short distance away from the festival site, and there will be surprise performers from the Elements Festival 2016 lineup.
Tickets are still available for Elements Music & Arts Festival and the after-party. Attendees are advised to buy now to ensure that they are part of the fun!
