A surefire way to start the world-class techno festival season will be upon Europe sooner than expected in the past this spring; XOBE’s Extrema Outdoor 2016 kicks things off with a bang during May 13 – 15 in Door, Belgium. The revamped setup includes sixteen stages and backs up against the recreational lake, Kelchterhoef. With full camping amenities and a festival village that includes access to the lake, Extrema Outdoor is primed to become a household name when it comes to the major European techno festivals.

This Extrema Outdoor is going to be the perfect culmination of a 20+-year history in dance music and countless connections to the development of what we know as techno today. Names like Loco Dice, Nina Kraviz, Seth Troxler, Jamie Jones and a long list of international talent will provide the soundtrack to the festival. In addition to the successes of 2015, Extrema Outdoor like Maceo Plex, Kölsch, Black Coffee, DJ Mag resident’s, Resident Advisor’s top DJs, Eats Everything and Jackmaster. As if this wasn’t enough, artists from the very foundations of club culture like Jeff Mills, Carl Craig and Groove Armada will be joining!

XOBE is working with esteemed electronic brands the likes of Cadenza, Circoloco, Ushuaia, La Rocca Revolution and will set the standard for techno lineups across Europe in 2016. Extrema Outdoor took the title of Best Newcomer at the Festival Awards for their Belgian expansion and the brand remains fresh with what is in store for May.

Also included on the Extrema Outdoor lineup are labels such as Elrow, ANTS, Hot Creations, Defected and locals Forty Five and Labyrinth Club. You will also see a host of local and come up artists on the lineup such as Goldfox, Alec, Bjarki & Nico Morano with some massive new additions to production. If you are looking for proper techno, this fest to kick summer off right, this looks as good as any.
