Wakarusa Music Festival is right around the corner and is really shaping up to be one of the best festival experiences of the summer. Waka 2015, which is taking place on the famed Mulberry Mountain in Arkansas, has more artists and activities than you can shake a stick at. Top contenders for the Wakarusa lineup are comprised of Ben Harper and The Innocent Criminals, Umphrey’s McGee, STS9, Thievery Corporation, Chance The Rapper, The Roots, Rebelution, Major Lazer, Slightly Stupid, Lotus, Dirty Heads, Portugal. The Man, Young The Giant, Paper Diamond, Joe Russo’s Almost Dead and EOTO. These top-notch artists are accompanied by so many other acts it is hard to imagine.
Wakarusa will not only be offering one of the most comprehensive festival lineups of the year, it will also have a plethora of events and workshops available that are sure to tickle any patron’s fancy. Waka is offering an incredible amount of art installations, including festival-goer centric art installations that truly bring out the artists in all of us. These guys are going to have hammock domes, natural wooden sculptures, lights and music all throughout the night and even some slack line fun. This isn’t the end of the fun either; the music goes well into the night and leaving attendees welcome to a congregation of food and art vendors who are pushing some of the most uniquely interesting cuisine and art around the globe.
Wakarusa tickets are going for right around $284 for GA, not including the $190 camping pass that can be split up among your whole crew. Wakarusa VIP tickets are around $705, but offer all of the amenities most festival-goers have come to expect with a VIP experience, including exclusive bathrooms, private viewing areas and much more. Waka is also offering a “Glamping” package, which provides many of the essentials needed to survive at a fest such as a tent, cooler and even a lamp for that tent of yours.
Wakarusa is one of the premier festivals in America and is definitely not one to be missed if the opportunity presents itself. The people and vibes associated with Wakarusa are nothing short of legendary and anyone who has the opportunity to experience it must do so. Don’t sleep on this one folks; I know I’m not.
