Something is different about Firefly Gathering. It’s small, but doesn’t feel small. The Firefly Gathering lineup featured lots of promising talent in the electronic scene and every artist that played was worth hearing … and dancing to. It goes around the whole clock. You can stop it when you choose and sleep some, if you want. Or, you can yoga all morning, or all afternoon.
Main stage starts at in the afternoon and goes until after midnight. Innerspace, my personal favorite, starts at 8 PM and goes until 4 AM (or 8:30 AM Sunday night). The Jive Joint hosts the classiest comedy from midnight until well after sunrise.
In addition to entertainment on the stages at Firefly Gathering, there is sound healing and massage by donation most parts of the day. The silent disco brings in the morning. There is interactive and live art all over the place. Food trucks were also open the whole time to keep people energized.
Then, there are workshops. Hug workshops, essential oil workshops, workshops upon workshops. All in the amazing climate that is Northern Arizona in the summertime. It rained a little, but that only seemed to add to the experience. All in all, the Firefly Gathering was a special communion to observe about a bigger family. That family that calls itself “Firefly.”
