French-Canadian producer Christophe Dubé known by the moniker CRi has just dropped the new single "From Me" off of his forthcoming debut album, JUVENILE. The track features vocals from Canadian artist Bernache (the indie/lo-fi solo project from Men I Trust singer Emma Proulx). The single is one of the eleven tracks included on the JUVENILE LP, due out October 16th from UK-based Anjunadeep.
From Me is a beautifully harmonious track that is very pleasant on the ears. The track weaves an indie-electronic sound with heavenly-sounding vocals and vocal chops from the soothing voice of Bernache. The slow builds and atmospheric risers used throughout the song build and release tension into an outstanding emotional soundscape. It's a song that you never want to let go because it does so well in pulling you into the dreamlike space it has created. From Me adds to a collection of singles from the JUVENILE album including "Runaway" and "Never Really Get There" featuring Jesse Mac Cormack. Each single is unique and builds anticipation that there is much to look forward to with CRi's debut album. Speaking on the album, CRi says:
"Juvenile is an ode to youth, innocence, and dreams. The melancholy of the past and the hope of the future shape the mood of this album. The project revisits what resonated with me when I was young, and blends it with what drives me today. It's a way for me to take stock of an era, and turn the page on something new". -CRi
CRi's album will be another milestone for UK label Anjunadeep. Celebrating its 15th anniversary and approaching 500 releases, Anjunadeep has played a pivotal role in discovering and developing talents such as Lane 8, Dusky, Yotto, and Cubicolor among many others. The label has had millions of streams in the past few years as well as numerous sold-out label festivals around the world. Just as Anjunadeep has cemented itself as one of the leading names in electronic music look for the talented CRi to begin establishing himself as the label's next star.
