UK-based artist GAWP and Seattle-based artist Bacosaurus have teamed up to deliver DIRTYBIRD Records newest addition to the catalog, 'Raw'. The single is the label debut for Bacosaurus and it does not disappoint.
'Raw' progresses through its six minutes in length with a consistent and reverberating bassline. Its pumping low end is topped off with uses of vocal samples and futuristic tech sounds and effects that in tandem add a lot of value to the catchiness track. It's so enticing and pleasing to groove to that this track could either be listened to for six minutes or looped for sixty minutes and it would be just as enjoyable the whole time.
These artists both bring different levels of experience to the table but still seem to have great creative chemistry. On one side there is GAWP, an artist who has previous releases on notable imprints including Elrow, Toolroom, Soup, This Ain't Bristol, Cheap Thrills, Night Bass, and Main Course. He has received support from the likes of Justin Martin, Chris Lake, FISHER, Idris Elba, and Walker & Royce among many others. On the other side there is Bacosaurus, an upcoming producer who has garnered support from artists like Fedde Le Grand, Shiba San, and Sirius Hood while making appearances on labels like Anabatic Records, Perfect Driver, House of Hustle, and Hood Politics Records.
The duo has previously released the EP 'See You Later, Oscillator' on Anabatic Records in 2019. They have proved that they're both certainly ones to watch with this newest heater, 'Raw'.
