This years Governors Ball Music Festival in Randall’s Island NYC is shaping up to be one of this summers best festivals. The eclectic lineup spans many genres including rock, EDM, hip hop, reggae, electronic and more. Big headliners Outkast, Jack White, Vampire Weekend and The Strokes will be accompanied by some great acts such as Phoenix, Skrillex, Foster The People, TV ON The Radio, Disclosure and a slew of others. Governors Ball is lucky to have NYC rock giants The Strokes reuniting at their festival. This alone is reason enough for many fans to go this year. A recent thread in Reddit brings up some interesting questions about the festival. Jack White and the Kills are both on the bill. Could this mean a surprise performance by The Dead Weather? Outkast could arguably be playing more festivals than any other act this summer, but NYC is the birthplace of hip hop.
