House music discovery platform & event producers Gray Area are to host an exclusive, one-off eight-hour take over of Diplo’s Revolution radio show on Sirius XM on Saturday October 23rd. The mouth-watering OCHO lineup presented by Gray Area will feature eight of the world's top house and techno talents from midday to 8pm EST including Luciano, Diplo, Chelina Manuhutu, Blackchild, Tini Gessler, Vintage Culture, Will Clarke and AMÉMÉ. Encores of the show will be broadcasted the next day on Sunday, October 24th.
This new radio show is set to be another superb showcase of different strains of dance music showcasing established and upcoming artists alike. Alongside influential producer, uniquely colourful character, and global dance icon Diplo, there is long time underground king Luciano, one of minimal techno's biggest champions. Joining them is new school house talent Blackchild who has huge releases on labels like Hot Creations, plus Brazilian superstar and Billboard Top Charting artist Vintage Culture who regularly headlines the world's best clubs and festivals.
On top of that Gray Area welcomes Tini Gessler whose famously deep and pumping tech house has appeared on lauded labels like Cr2 Records, Kaluki Musik, and Rawthentic, the instantly recognizable tastemaker and adventurous Will Clarke, West African born One Tribe NYC founder AMÉMÉ who brings new energy to his sets and productions, and Chelina Manuhutu, who’s chunky tech-house is full of stuttering percussion, brilliantly funky basslines, and the bubbling effervescence of a summer-time pool party.
“Sirius XM plays an integral role in building the house music community in North America – which happens to also be Gray Area’s mission – by programming this genre of dance music on Diplo’s Revolution. We are very proud to collaborate on Ocho, a program featuring 8 hours of non-stop exclusive sets representing different sub-genres of house music played by both rising and established international artists, and look forward to other collaborative projects with our friends at Sirius XM to spread the love of house music across North America. Let there be MORE house!” says Michael Julian, founder of Seers – the dynamic venture behind Gray Area and other projects in the world of electronic music and live events.
“We are committed to unifying house music culture around the world”, adds Joey Sutera, the Head of Live Entertainment.
