Founder and CEO of Insomniac Events, Pasquale Rotella, has announced some big news on his Facebook Page There has been a lot of question as to whether or not Beyond Wonderland SoCal will be happening.  The unfortunate news is that it will not.  Rotella stated, “San Manuel is a beautiful location, but it’s clear that it cannot handle our larger Insomniac festivals right now, including Beyond Wonderland.”  He went on to further state that Las Vegas will be the home of two new Beyond and Nocturnal Wonderland Festivals.  These festivals will NOT be replacing the festivals in Southern California. They are in addition to.

Rotella also wrote “There’s also been chatter about Beyond Wonderland SoCal moving to Las Vegas. For me, a festival held in another state is not a substitute for our SoCal events. I started in Southern California, and shows like Nocturnal and EDC have deep roots here. Southern California dance culture has been vibrant for more than two decades, and it’s an important place for us to be because it’s Insomniac’s home and home to so many of you.”  Insomniac is currently seeking out new venues for the SoCal events as the 65,000-person capacity San Manuel Amphitheater in Bakersfield, California is not large enough to accommodate crowds for it’s current festivals.  The Amphitheater could be the home for some new, smaller festivals and could also end up being highly exclusive.

Another big Insomniac SoCal festival, Hard Summer has also found a new home.  Just 10 minutes outside of L.A., The Whittier Narrows Recreation Area will be the new home of the festival.  This is L.A.’s largest festival and is sure to blow beyond epic proportions this year.  Early bird tickets go on sale this friday HERE! Check out a sneak peek of their teaser video.
