As avid followers of Lane 8 here on Music Festival Central, Lane 8’s latest deep-house single, “No Captain” has just been released. Lane 8 is well-known for his particular house sound, which “No Captain” exemplifies. The track features the vocals from female vocalist, Channy Leaneagh, member of the American synth-pop band POLIÇA. Her soft vocal tones match perfectly with the track’s mellow vibes. The atmospheric pads bring a sense of euphoria, while Lane 8’s signature whirling synths hook you onto the track. “No Captain” showcases a more emotionally driven house track by the American DJ/producer, who has been producing such tracks with his other released .
With the unveiling of “No Captain,” Lane 8 also announced his second feature album “Little by Little” to be tentatively released on January 19, 2018 with a World Tour to follow, which will hit 35 locations across North America, Australia, and Europe. “No Captain” is the first song off the album to be presented to the public and it is a great preview to what we will anticipate from the album. The album will feature ten titled tracks with each song having its own distinctive sound, but still comes together seamlessly as to tell a story.
