One of Pretty Lights Music‘s longest contributors, Michal Menert, has recently dropped the single “Everything Shines” off his yet-to-be released album, Space Jazz. Menert is a master mixer that has the ability to harness the use of vocals and add it to his extensive collection of synthed-out beats and drops. Menert’s style on this project, which can best be described as “electro-soul,” seems to come from planet of its own. To solidify the spaciness of the album further, lots of the music he created in an area he appropriately refers to as the ‘Spacement.’
When asked about the track, Menert expressed “Everything Shines is an ode to long nights spent losing ourselves in the moment. It’s a look back at the first taste of everything around us shining, at a feeling we chase for the rest of our lives, a split second of tasting something that lingers on our palette forever.” Space Jazz is due to be released on Menert’s own label, Super Best Records, next month and will be available to download free of charge.
