Lookin’ Ahead to Lockn’ 2015

As we near the end of the year, we look ahead to what festivals we want to attend in 2015.  For the lovers of rock, jam, bluegrass, southern rock and americana, Lockn’ Interlocking Music Festival is one of the most appealing events of the year.  Nestled in the beautiful farmland along the foothills of the blueridge mountians, this festival’s location is enough to spark interest in those with a travel bug and hunger for music.  And if the location is not enough, Lockn’s  reputable past of amazing lineups should be enough to seal the deal.

Over the last two years, names such as Widespread Panic, Wilco, The Allman Brothers Band, Willie Nelson, Umphrey’s McGee, Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers, Trey Anastasio Band and The String Cheese Incident have rocked the stages of Lockn’.  With the goal of creating a festival that is both identifiable and distinct, music industry veterans Peter Shapiro and Dave Frey present an event rich with jamband roots, family vibe and beautiful scenery.

Heading into it’s third year running, Lockn’ has already developed the reputation of being well organized and accommodating.  And that’s not to mention recently announced acts for this years lineup.  Festival goers already have many things to look forward to.  Widespread Panic is retuning for their third year in a row!  Past performances of the band included sit-ins from John Fogerty and Steve Windwood.  Also scheduled for their third year is the eleven-piece ensemble led by husband-wife team Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi, The Tedeschi Truck Band

Another fan favorite to hit the stages of Lockn’ 2015 will be The String Cheese Incident. Two nights of Cheese will also include a collaboration with rock legends The Doobie Brothers and is being called The Doobie Incident!!  Mixing a staple in the jamband world and 4 time grammy award winners could only be a recipe for an unforgettable experience!

Tickets for Lockn’ are on sale now!  This is a festival worth getting your tickets now.  If your family member, friend or loved one loves great vibes, amazing tunes with jamband roots and beautiful scenery, Lockn’ tickets would make an awesome stocking stuffer for the holidays.
