Mamby on the Beach music festival returns to Oakwood Beach in Chicago for its third summer on June 24 & 25! The location of the festival is PRIME. Take off your shoes and sink your toes in the sand to play some volleyball, jenga, or chill out and listen to music.
Oakwood Beach sits alongside Chicago’s Lakefront Trail, making it easily accessible by bike. If you still want to go green but don’t have a bike, you can take the CTA because the festival will have shuttles looping between the Cermak-Chinatown Redline, Cermak-McCormick Green Line, and the event site.
With each summer the production increases and the lineup grows to be even more impressive! The Mamby on the Beach 2017 lineup features MGMT, Local Natives, Justin Martin, Will Clarke, Misterwives, Walk the Moon, Flying Lotus, Green Velvet and Tchami to name a few.
However, Mamby isn’t just about the music. It’s a well-rounded festival experience that stimulates the mind and the body. Attendees can enjoy free yoga sessions, wellness workshops, art installations and beach games. Other amenities include free airbrush tattoos, a braid bar, and TONS of local food trucks to fulfill all your foodie needs.

VIP ticket holders get to speed through the entrance and have exclusive access to preferred elevated viewing areas with private bars. Plus, it’s the only way you’ll get water access during the festival and when it gets hot, it feels amazing to cool off in the lake. The VIP area has its own section of the beach alongside the stages with access to the water, cabanas, and tiki lounges.
