Creators of Monster Energy Center of Gravity (MECOGW) music festival, taking place August 19-21, have just announced the full Monster Energy Center of Gravity 2016 lineup! This year, the MECOG lineup will be taking the stage at Wasaga Beach in Ontario, Canada.
The Monster Energy Center of Gravity lineup will kick-off with Grammy award winning electronic music artist, Tiësto, legendary rapper turned actor, Ice Cube, and the DJ Mag Top 100 winner, Hardwell.
This is the ninth annual year of MECOGW, and, like every year, always houses great artists from a mix of musical genres like hip-hop, indie rock and electronic. Other must-see artists in the MECOGW 2016 lineup includes Atmosphere, Showtek, Ty Dolla $ign, Dragonette, Cash Cash, Mother Mother, Sharam, Morgan Page, Bit Funk, Hunter Siegel, SNBRN, Joe Ghost, Mike Williams, Party Favor, Peking Duk, TrouBoi, Unlike Pluto, Vicetone and more.
MECOGW has a lot of annual traditions like sports competitions and non-stop music, and, its annual venue, but this year, the festival is switching venues. Historically held in Kelowna, British Columbia, Monster Energy Center of Gravity moves to popular beach town, Wasaga Beach, in Ontario. The previous location has seen more than 30,000 attendees!
MECOG festival founder, Scott Emslie, is very excited about the change in location. When discussing the new location, he mentioned, “The festival is meant to be an escape from the city to a beach town for a weekend packed with high energy sports, day cabanas, lakeside house music, sunset headliner performances, and shared memories with likeminded people. It’s hard to find a better location than Wasaga Beach to create the MECOG experience.”
