Brooklyn is about to get hit by Escape Music Festival, located on Governors Beach Club, overlooking New York’s city skyline and Governors Island. Taking place October 11th and 12th, Escape will host close to 30 acts preforming on 2 stages throughout the weekend.
Day one of Escape is bringing back dance music from the 90’s and mixing it in with today’s electronic and experimental music. Big names, which many of us have not heard from in while are highlights for Saturday. Acts like Placebo, Moby, and The Crystal Method are set to rage the day away. Other must-see acts include STRFKR, Neon Indian, Ra Ra Riot, Yeasayer and many more.
Escape will also be incorporating fun activities such as art installations, food trucks, photo-booths creating a unique experience for each and every ticket holder as the weekend unfolds.
Sunday will be filled with an array of talent whom come from around the world. Sensations such as Elrow, Ibiza Spain’s craziest dance party will be hosting a stage, and Boris, a Japanese experimental band will be kicking off our Sunday. Not to forget the ever-so-popular DJ/Mash artist, Girl Talk, will be headlining the last day of Brooklyn’s Escape Music Festival. If you’ve attended a Girl Talk show before, then you know to bring your dancing shoes because of the magnitude of his throw-downs. If you didn’t know, well now you do so prepare for a rage-fest like no other!
