Surrounded by hardwood forests, urban trails and beautiful lakes, Phases Of The Moon Music & Art Festival, a 4-day camping festival held in Danville, Illinois is going to bring the grass-roots music festival scene back to life this September 11th – 14th!
Filled with an arsenal of feel-good music performed on four unique, outdoor stages, Phases Of The Moon (POTM) is ready to start a fresh new wave of jam band festivals. The inaugural year’s lineup includes Widespread Panic, The String Cheese Incident, Bob Weir & Ratdog, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Gov’t Mule, JJ Grey & MoFro, Railroad Earth and many more class acts from the jam band scene.
Held in Kennekuk County Park and only a mere Two and a half hours from Chicago, music lovers can enjoy all the outdoor festivities the park has to offer. The venue provides miles of scenic trails, complete with ponds, rivers and plenty of fishing opportunities, so don’t forget your Illinois fishing license or to bring your hiking gear!
POTM also offers a variety of food and crafts, including an organic farmers market, a craft beer garden, as well as a general store and a mall of handmade and recycled items for sale. POTM also showcases a variety of displays by renowned and local artists that can be found throughout the festival grounds.
Not only is the Kennekuk County Park a relaxation oasis, but the venue also features “The Sanctuary,” a specific area for yoga, meditation and a variety of workshops and presentations. POTM also offers a kid-friendly area; a fun place to beat the crowds and enjoy so quiet time of fun and various art activities.
