This August 9th – 11th tens of thousands will gather to celebrate Squamish Valley Music Festival (Squamish) in the beautiful mountains of British Columbia in Canada. At Squamish, those that are at the very top of their game will represent all genres of music. The list of headliners for Squamish 2014 consists of Eminem, Arcade Fire, Bruno Mars, Broken Bells, NAS, Foster The People, Thievery Corporation, Artic Monkeys and The Roots.
In addition to the huge names event organizers were able to nab, a laundry list of heavy hitters in the festival scene are also onboard for Canada’s number 1 music festival. Attendees will get to see acts like Gramatik, Jamie Jones, Boy Noise, The Head and The Heart, Lykke Li, The Temper Trap, Danny Brown, Pete Tong Tommy Trash and many, many more!
On top of a killer lineup, Squamish organizers have done their very best to offer amenities for attendees to take full advantage of a well-round music festival experience. One unique perk about Squamish is it is one of the only festivals that is run completely cashless!
This year at Squamish, with the swipe of a festival wristband, patrons will be able pay for nearly anything on the festival grounds (except in the campgrounds and the artisan village). All wristbands will have an electronic chip that attendees can activate and add money to before they arrive at the festival. In addition to not having to worry about losing your cash, cashless systems at festivals help cut time at those long lines at food and beverage vendors. Just remember, you need to bring some cash for artisans/merchants inside the festival, and, for the campgrounds.
Complimentary charging stations will be placed throughout the festival grounds so festival-goers will be able to be in constant contact with their festi-family. Lockers will also be on-site for those who don’t want to worry about their valuables getting lost or damaged when they rage the weekend away.
Tickets are to become a part of this killer combination of breath-taking sights, a wildly diverse lineup, and handsome amenities, are still on-sale. Both weekend passes and day passes are available on Squamish Valley Music Festival’s website.
