A New Orleans tradition established in 1999, the Voodoo Music + Arts Experience has since expanded to cover four stages and showcase over a hundred food, art, and merchandise vendors. Even in a city known for its music and culture, Voodoo regularly ups the ante by providing a diverse selection of local and national acts spanning an impressive variety of musical genres. Case in point: this year’s headliners include 90s alt-rock founding fathers the Foo Fighters, eclectic hip-hop duo Outkast, thrash metal gods Slayer, and the deliciously indefinable Gogol Bordello.
With four stages showcasing dramatically different styles of music – including over 75 acts total – there’s always something to suit just about anyone; with plenty of amazing New Orleans food and vibrant art to fill the time between sets. In short, Voodoo Fest is the ultimate chocolate-covered potato chip of festivals; it’s twerking followed by headbanging…gospel soul with a side of techno rave…cochon du lait poboys with organic vegan brownies for dessert.
For three full days, Voodoo Fest turns City Park into an ideal example of contrasting tastes that somehow just fit perfectly. The Voodoo Music + Arts experience beings on October 31st and continues through November 1st and 2nd.
There are a wide variety of Voodoo ticket packages available; ranging from $73 for a one day pass / $175 for a three-day pass, all the way through $3,500 for a super exclusive “3-Day Rites of Package” special which includes food, drinks, back and side stage access, and luxury camping accommodations.
