This weekend in The Netherlands, Mysteryland, the world’s longest running dance music festival will make history as it hosts the first ever Virtual Reality (VR) live stream at its event. Saturday August 27th from 12:00pm-11:00am and Sunday August 28th from 2:00pm-11:00pm, fans will be able to watch a live broadcast of the festival as if they were experiencing it first hand right there in Haarlemmermeer. The stream can be found either through special glasses and the virtual reality app or via the Mysteryland YouTube Channel.
Aside from the live stream, 360 degree videos of both days will be featured on the festival’s social media sites all throughout the weekend. This duo of social media installations has been dubbed The Living Room, because fans can experience the virtual reality from the comfort of their own homes/living rooms!
Mysteryland Music Festival 2016 focuses on music, culture & arts, and sustainability, all of which will be expressed through the live stream. Not only will many of the leading and emerging artists be featured on the stream, but fans can also engage in all of the art installations scattered throughout the fest.
This year’s Mysteryland Lineup features a variety of acts ranging from EDM to afrobeat, techno, hip-hop, and disco. Headliners include Afrojack, Diplo, and Martin Garrix, but the lineup is stacked with a variety of performers including Apollonia, Boys Noize, Dave Clarke, Detroit Love: Carl Craig & Stacey Pullen, Don Diablo, Green Velvet, Sam Feldt, Seth Troxler, Skream, Surgeon featuring Lady Starlight, Studio Barnhus, Tom Trago and many more.

Mysteryland, which has extended international editions in the Andes in Chile and Bethel Woods, NY, USA (the original stomping grounds of Woodstock ’69) has been awarded the highest sustainability designation by Julie’s Bicycle.
