Today is a gift. Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. You know the words, you love the sentiment, and you’re ready for another fun-filled weekend on Woodstock’s hallowed festival grounds. Lucky for you, Mysteryland USA will return to Bethel Woods over the June 10th – 13th weekend for its third annual installment, featuring new dates and a seriously impressive lineup. This came as fantastic news to festival-goers who enjoy ingesting their EDM outside of subzero temperatures, after last year’s Memorial Day weekend festival, brought with it brutal temperatures, leaving many a rave booty frosty on Friday night when temperatures dipped below 32 degrees. Damn, that was intense. Still fun, but I have never wanted to be a rave bae so hard in my life (really just for strategic warmth).
The sparkly, candy-coated ID&T produced festival is now officially a three-day event for all ticket-holders. Previously, only campers had access to a Friday night pre-party, but now everyone gets to kick it for the entire weekend. Younger party animals are also singing Mysteryland’s praises because for the first time ever, the age restriction has been revised to include attendees age 19+. All VIP areas and Holy Ground camping will remain restricted to ticketholders who are 21+. Tier 1 Mysteryland 2016 tickets are currently sold out, but both non-camping and camping options are still available starting at $234 on the festival’s website.
The later dates also bring with them a new world of possibilities. In addition to the promise of more seasonable weather, Mysteryland will no longer share a weekend with Electric Daisy Carnvial New York (EDC NY), opening access to a wider array of artists. Acts like GRiZ and Gramatik will return to The Boat Stage this year, but the initial Phase 1 announcement of the Mysteryland 2016 lineup sparkles with the names of several first-time performers including Skrillex, Bassnectar and Odesza, all in headlining slots.
In addition to headliners in the Mysteryland USA 2016 lineup, there’s also Claude VonStroke, Gesaffelstein (DJ Set), Tchami, Claptone, Lee Burridge, The Floozies, Emancipator, Mr. Carmack, Golf Clap and many, many more. If that’s not enough to convince you to start planning your trip to Mysteryland, perhaps this phase one lineup playlist will do the trick:
