Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival returns to 'The Farm' in Manchester, TN this June 7 - 10 for its 17th year running. For those who have never been, here are 5 tips to ensure you have the best weekend EVER!
1. COME PREPARED
Prep before the festival is so important; especially at Bonnaroo where weather conditions can be very extreme. If your crew is driving, be sure to pack tons of food, camping supplies and lots of water! If you think you might need something, don't second guess yourself and definitely bring it. If you are questioning whether or not to bring a fan, a flashlight or a spare battery, that's a big YES. You never know what will happen and it is always better to overpack than under pack!
2.GO TO A COMEDY SHOW
The music is GREAT, but one thing that makes Bonnaroo stand out is the incredible opportunity to see other types of live performance. The Bonnaroo 2018 comedy lineup will feature killer acts like Adam Devine (Workaholics), Reggie Watts and Sasheer Zamata. In addition to comedy, be sure to check out the Little Cinema for dancing, music, film and more!
3. MAKE NEW FRIENDS
The people at Bonnaroo are a rad bunch. When you walk around, people will be giving you high fives and yelling “Happy Roo!” all weekend long. Yell back! Smile back! Talk to your neighbor! The memories you make at Bonnaroo will last a lifetime, and the friendships can, too!
4. SPICY PIE
Spicy Pie is a Bonnaroo staple, and there’s a ton of hype around their pie (for good reason...it’s delicious!). On top of bomb pizza, The Farm has a lot more offer! Here are some of the amazing food vendors to look for:
Ahli Babas Kabob Shop
Alpine frosted lemonade
Breakfast 24/7
Baconland
Bulldog Burgery
Peace Love Quesadillas
Steak Boys
The Taco Tent
& tons more.
(check out all of the vendors here)
5. STAY HYDRATED
It gets hot on the farm. Like, really damn hot. So pack tons of extra ice in your cooler to keep drinks cold at your campsite, and carry a water bottle or camelback with you. Just be prepared and you're going to have an amazing Bonnaroo experience!
