Back for its 24th year, Noise Pop Festival 2016 is San Francisco’s premiere celebration of independent music, film, and art. The festival, set to attract over 20,000 fans, will be held in California’s San Francisco Bay, from February 19th-27th.
Noise Pop has been the ultimate early exposure opportunity for many up and coming artists in the Bay Area and beyond. The festival has featured significant artists artists, such as: White Stripes, Modest Mouse, The Flaming Lips, Death Cab for Cutie, The Shins, Bright Eyes, Best Coast, Jeff Tweedy, and others. It has also served as the intersection for music and art, combining the Noise Pop Headquarters, Art Gallery Shows, Happy Hours, and more.
This year’s musical lineup currently features: The Mountain Goats, Parquet Courts, Vince Staples, Kamsai Washington, The Cave Singers, Cayucas, The Thermals, Film School, Diane Coffee, Wild Ones, Beacon, Astronauts, Etc, Heartwatch, and Palehound.
The Noise Pop Film Series has partnered with SF IndieFest, and artists have the chance to submit their films to be featured at this year’s fest. Artists can submit their work via Withoutabox or FilmFreeway and can receive updates by signing up for the Noise Pop newsletter.
