The 24th annual Noise Pop Festival is just over a month away, and has recently released lineup additions for this years event. Noise Pop is considered to be the San Francisco Bay Area’s premier indie music and arts festival and is hosted by a variety of venues throughout San Francisco and Oakland. These include some of the country’s highest acclaimed venues such as The Fillmore, The Warfield and The Regency Ballroom. All of which have hosted many of the biggest stars in recent music history.
Noise Pop is not only an awesome way to hear the best indie artists, but also a great way to see the beautiful Bay Area. Venues are spread out, so grabbing a drink or bite along the way and absorbing the beautiful cityscape is highly recommended as this part of the U.S. is unique to any other part of the world. No need to rent a car because public trans is the way to go in this neck of the woods. In fact, if you have not noticed, many people in this area “Go Green” and would highly suggest the public route or even walking.
Among the recent lineup additions are Brooklyn based indie rockers DIIV, a rising producer from Grand Rapids, Michigan, Sango, the Bay Areas own hip-hop artist Antwon, and a Belgian DJ and producer, The Magicain. These new acts join Metric, American Football, Drive Like Jehu, Carly Rae Jepsen, The Mountain Goats, Neon Indian, Vince Staples, Kamasi Washington, Parquet Courts, Gardens & Villa, The Cave Singers, and more.
This years music festival is also in collaboration with SF Indie Fest and is pleased to announce its first year screening a lineup of visually and aurally stunning presentations. The schedule of movies are as follows.
