Northern Nights Music Festival will be returning this weekend, July 14-16, for its fifth year at historic Cook’s Valley Campground, located in the Emerald Triangle just 3 hours north of the San Francisco Bay Area. However, this year brings something special, what was once the much enjoyed “Medical Marijuana Zone” is expanding into a larger state-of-the-art “Tree Lounge,” which looks to serve as both an educational area, as well as, a spot to medicate while listening to the sweet sounds of a stacked Northern Nights 2017 lineup.Northern Nights
Northern Nights has won a battle in what has been a war in removing the stigma that comes with cannabis use. The Emerald Triangle has a rich history of cannabis growing and Northern Nights hopes to bring attention and recognition to the cultivators who have worked towards mastering their trade. Visitors to the Tree Lounge can also enjoy sampling, interactive installations, refreshments, meet-and-greets with headliners and performances on the Royal Gold Tree Stage.
Two additional features of the Tree Lounge are the Yoga in the Grove program hosted by Bloom Farms, a sustainably and responsibly made medicine provider for medical marijuana users, plus, massages with cannabis and hemp infused body products provided by North Bay Nectar.
In addition to the Tree Lounge, Northern Nights has brought plenty more for festival-goers to enjoy. From the Purple Nights Art Gallery, which will be showing the borosilicate artistry from around the world, to the beachside dance parties, afternoon river swims, and of course, the exceptional musical lineup featuring premiere acts from a diverse range of artists, this festival offers quite a bit.
Northern Night tickets are available starting at $249 for GA weekend passes, while VIP passes are going for $339. Single-day tickets and camping add-ons can be purchased, as well.
