by on

The Northwest String Summit, held annually at the beautiful and intimate venue, Horning’s Hideout in North Plains, Oregon, is shaping up to be another successful year of energetic pickin’, soulful strumming and foot stompin’.  Now headed into it’s 15th anniversary, this bluegrass/americana festival has been making things better year by year. Over time, this family friendly event has become the meeting spot for many reunions of friends, family and musicians alike.

Many of the artists play sets on several days, allowing them to hang out and enjoy the vibe that this truly unique and impassioned festival has to offer.  Festival hosts, Yonder Mountain String Band will play for three nights along with additional acts including 2 Nights of Greensky Bluegrass; Railroad Earth; Leftover Salmon (2 Nights); The Infamous Stringdusters (2 Nights); Keller Williams with More Than A Little; Keller Williams’ Grateful Gospel; Steep Canyon Rangers; Fruition (2 Nights); Shook Twins (2 Nights); The Brothers Comatose; Polyrhythmics; Danny Barnes (2 Nights); Ben Sollee (2 Sets); John Craigie; Billy Strings (2 Nights); Wood & Wire (2 Nights); Cabinet (2 Nights); Horseshoes & Hand Grenades (2 Sets); Rabbit Wilde; The Lowest Pair; and more acts to be announced soon!

Following the “Green” lifestyle that so many Oregon folks live, Northwest String Summit shows its support of local business by teaming up with the areas organizations, vendors and Pacific Northwest-based musicians. The Ninkasi Brewing Company out of Eugene is even brewing up a special small-batch of tasty brew named Clusterpluck Session Ale and is exclusive to NWSS.  Furthermore, Horning’s Hideout is a small and lush venue, nestled in the woods of North Plains, Oregon. It is a clean and pleasant venue that any festival fan would enjoy.  The pines of the Northwest offer shade for camping and the stages are carefully located to allow the warm summer sun soak in.  With a capacity of only 5,000 fans, NWSS proves to be one of the most intimate experiences possible for bands of this caliper. July 14th – 17th are the dates confirmed for this special event. Tickets will go fast, so get them while they’re hot!!

Take notice to the energy of the crowd in this little video of NWSS 2015 to get you pumped!!
