Just this week the folks behind The Dead’s Fare Thee Well celebration have begun to notify winners of the lottery put on by Dead50.net (aka GDTS TOO). Notifications are being made by email, however, as of today they have only gone through 75% of the orders received. This means there is a slight chance that people who have not been notified either way by the public sale via Ticketmaster on February 28th at 10am (CST) can still receive tickets, however, it is highly recommended to attempt to buy tickets during the main sale.
Aside from Ticketmaster, CID Entertainment is offering ticket and lodging packages for two at an array of hotels around Chicago. Packages start at roughly $1600 and are set to go on sale February 27th.
The Grateful Dead’s Fare Thee Well 50 year celebration seems like it’s going the hardest ticket to get so far this century. It’s best to try all your options before buying your tickets through a third party ticket affiliate after the main sale because tickets will be priced at a intensely inflated rate. Face value for Fare Thee Well tickets range from $59.50 – $199.50. ADA tickets also go on sale February 28th.
