The 17th rendition of the Movement Electronic Music Festival released its second stage of artists today to the delight of techno heads everywhere. The already stellar Movement 2017 lineup added more than what was expected with the likes of TESTPILOT (deadmau5’s techno alter ego), Richie Hawtin, Octave One, Ben Sims b2b Truncate, DVS 1 along with a plethora of local and come-up artists including Asher Perkins, John Johr & Twin Cousin of the local “What It Is” crew. Other notables on the 2nd announcement include Carl Craig presents versus Synthesizer Ensemble, Seth Troxler, Paco Osuno and Movement regular, Heidi.
2016 begged some questions about the direction Movement was going in, but any doubts about it were alleviated with the recent Movement Electronic Music Festival lineup announcements. More techno, much harder and some special acts have brought together what will be an amazing Memorial Day 2017 weekend celebration. My advice is to get yourself organized now as hotels are already selling out and getting pricier. What also must be mentioned is this: every year I buy my ticket Movement Detroit tickets early for $100 plus service fees -- FIND ANOTHER FESTIVAL OF THIS CALIBER THAT ISNT 3X THIS AMOUNT! See everyone in Detroit!
