Just last night, the jam band of jam bands, Phish, just ended a multi-night run in Riviera Maya, Mexico. As their set lists unfold, videos of these epic takes on their best songs, as well as some never before heard tracks, have begun to surface. One track that has not been played in full before, was the cover of “The Ocean” by Led Zeppelin. Page McConnell belted out the lyrics, while all four members played their parts all the way through for the very first time together. “The Ocean” was written to acknowledge the band’s undying appreciate for their ‘sea of fans’ who would travel near and far to see them play. It seems that Phish feels the exact same way about their ‘phans.’
