Whether you’re a little tyke, or full-blown adult, Halloween is your annual excuse to don your favorite disguise and head off into the night in search of treats and adventure. On Halloween night 2014, the “Pier of Fear” celebration held at the Pier 92/94 venue on Manhattan’s Westside offered up some serious adventure, and some heavyweight treats in the form of DJ sets by some of electronics music’s biggest names.
With a lineup that included DJ Craze, Miles & Otis, Tchami, CAZZETTE, Tommy Trash, DJ Snake, Adventure Club, Knife Party, and Borgore, there was more than enough soul shaking bass, and mind altering light-show wizardry to keep the thousands of ghouls and goblins that had come out for playtime, happily occupied until the wee hours of the morning. The costumes were otherworldly, and the many moments of shared euphoria among the thousands that packed the sprawling venue were a pure joy to witness and capture.
