Well folks, the time is finally upon us—Pretty Lights’ “episodic festival” showcase is about to begin! With the very first stop on the list being at the Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion (Bank of NH Pavilion)in the town of Gilford this August 5th and 6th, be prepared to for this show to set the bar for the remaining four appearances.
Not only is the venue a camping-friendly venue, but Pretty Lights has chosen some amazing talent to light up the stages with him, including his live band that is set to be playing with him from beginning to end of the string of mini-festies. Although car camping is sold out, attendees are free to stay and rage the night away, making this stop in Gilford, NH, extremely similar to a full-on 2-day banger of a festival.
Now, when it comes to supporting talent, what a good job someone (I’m assuming Pretty Lights, himself) did picking the roster. Aside from Derek Vincent Smith (aka Pretty Lights) playing each night, the Gilford visit will feature none other than Tipper, Atmosphere, Marvel Years, G Jones, Big Wild, Outlook, Brasstracks and Wax Future.
In case you’re not super familiar with the list of featured talent, other than Pretty Lights, of course, I can tell you that attendees are in for a real treat each night they go!
Dave Tipper (aka Tipper) is set to kick things off on Friday night with one of his infamous Twilight Sets; when the light slowly creeps to dark (he’s also known for some pretty sweet Sunrise Sets, too). Perhaps another main highlight on Friday is Marvel Years, who has come a long way since his first-ever live performance on the main stage years ago (which happened to be while he was showing support at a Pretty Lights show; go figure). G Jones will also be present bringing the heat like always, and newcomer, Outlook, destine to impress as they kick off the night this Friday.
As for Saturday night, the famed hip-hop duo, Atmosphere, is scheduled to play one of their always-captivating sets. Comprised of Slug and Ant, the duo (which may now be somewhat of a trio as they played with three people on-stage earlier in the 2016 festival season) has been tearing it up in the festival scene and conquering the top tier of festival lineups for years now. To this day, it may be safe to say that they are one of the most popular hip-hop groups within the electronic music scene, and, the festival circuit as a whole.
Other acts on Saturday include Big Wild, who has also been taking the festival scene by storm, appearing on lineups all over the place. In fact, word has spread to make him a definite must when he appears on a lineup this summer. Also set to woo crowds this Saturday night is Wax Future, another Pretty Lights-inspired group. Wax Future combines solid synths and with some funky electronic music that will keep you body moving and your soul singing for their entire set. Brasstracks will also be the fire as they open up the final night of the first episodic festival run.
Despite all the factors surrounding Pretty Lights first episodic festival ever, tickets to the Bank of NH Pavilion visit are still on-sale. 2-day GA tickets are only $85.75 and Single-day tickets are available for a mere $65.75, making it hard not to attend at least a day of this historical event in dance music history. VIP options are also available by clicking the link below. Don’t forget who’s playing here, people; besides the man himself, there’s at least one legendary performer also scheduled, as well as, those who are on the way to earning “legend” status. That said, don’t delay and go buy your Pretty Lights episodic festival tickets right now!
