British Columbia’s most anticipated festival lineup was just announced this afternoon, and it has us all more homesick than ever. The 19th annual Shambhala Music Festival, set to return to the privately owned Salmo River Ranch this August 5-8, is bringing performances from a number of returning artists such as Excision, ill.gates and Andy C, as well as, scene veterans like Felix Da Housecat, Cut Chemist, Green Velvet, Keys N’ Krates, Boys Noize, Nightmares on Wax and Questlove. This year’s Shambhala lineup also features some of this year’s biggest names like the mysterious masked producer Marshmello, Mad Decent’s TroyBoi and Australian electronic hip-hop duo, Hermitude.
Traditionally, Shambhala also presents a number of unique collaborations, and this year is no exception, as they offer a rare Caspa B2B Rusko performance and a live set from Beats Antique featuring David Satori and Sidecar Tommy. Shambhala’s magical aesthetic, independent producers, and, one-of-a-kind setting, make it an ideal destination for music lovers and those who have a deep appreciation for a truly ephemeral festival experience. Additional artists to the Shambhala 2016 lineup, along with other surprises will be announced on Monday, April 11th.
All Shambhala 2016 tickets sold out in record time this year, so you’ll need to get creative in order to a score a pass to this year’s festivities. If you’re already good to go on that front, it’s time to start planning your big August trip. More information on travel, lodging and other details surrounding the festival can be found on Shambhala’s official website.
