Sonic Bloom’s 10 Year Anniversary Is Around The Corner

by on

Year after year, Sonic Bloom provides an outlet for bass music enthusiasts from Colorado and beyond to come together and celebrate the longest days of the year with psychedelic beats and forward-thinking workshops. This year marks the 10 Year Anniversary for Sonic Bloom as Jamie Janover and crew throw yet another wicked party in the Rocky Mountains over the mystical summer solstice. Sonic Bloom 2015 has been appropriately named The Unified Field : 10 Year Family Reunion. The festival will take place from June 18 – 21 at Hummingbird Ranch, which is nestled below the gorgeous Spanish Peaks of Rye, Colorado located 2.5 hours south of Denver. The new location provides increased capacity for the growing Sonic Bloom community, as well as jaw-dropping mountain views, shade-offering trees, and a lush bubbling creek.

Featuring a roster of likeminded musicians, the Sonic Bloom lineup encompasses everything from squelchy sacred glitch-hop, proper deep dubstep, and bouncy psy-trance to soothing and ancestral downtempo, spaced-out grooves from electronic jam bands, and hyphey gangster beats from beloved local producers. Names to highlight the Sonic Bloom lineup include a fleet of artists that have a history of mesmerizing the Colorado music scene such as STS9, Bluetech, Desert Dwellers, Emancipator, Random Rab, Shpongle, The Malah, Plantrae, Nominus, and the seemingly perfect, Kalya Scintilla.

Sonic Bloom also welcomes the inaugural performances of the San Francisco wizard Digital Rust, unsung beatsmith Mr. Rogers and his Pega5u5 project, Australian thrill seekers Mustard Tiger & Staunch, Canadian-bred Atyya & JPOD, Russian mystic Mindex, and long-awaited Aussie legend known as Griff. Differing from the dominant musical style of the festival, “Sub.Mission” dubstep has brought in artists such as Caspa, Grimblee, and Dillard to showcase their beautifully twisted, sparse rhythms. At last you will not want to miss the progressive psychedelic trance sounds of Merkaba, Amani, and Treavor Moontribe as they return to furnish attendees ears with 4×4, funky soundscapes.

If the music wasn’t enough, Sonic Bloom places an emphasis on forward-thinking attitudes and growth to provide a comprehensive festival experience. Learn about sustainable living practices and spiritual enlightenment. Experience mind-bending art installations, morning filled yoga and meditation, and the sheer power of thousands of positive people enjoying each other’s company. Sonic Bloom tickets are still on sale if you want to be a part of the 10-year celebration of art, music, and community that is Sonic Bloom, so do not hesitate to grab yours and experience the magic.
