STS9 Photos – We’ll Meet In Our Dreams – The Fillmore Auditorium – Denver – Round 1

by on

For four long nights in Denver, Colorado, the famed electronic ensemble, STS9, played their hearts out at The Fillmore Auditorium for a New Year’s celebration that attendees will never forget. By kicking off the 4-night run on New Year’s Eve, the group set a mile high bar for the rest of the shows. Fans that were fortunate enough to get tickets for the New Year’s Day show, not only got to enjoy a special dinner and eat ice cream with STS9, but they got a private, all-improv performance. Yes, it was entirely improvised!

This New Year’s run was a first for new bassist Alana Rocklin, who joined the group in early 2014. After seeing STS9 play several times since Alana’s first time as an official member at McDowell Mountain Music Festival last March, it seems clear that all the members are in cohesion and enjoying every minute they’re on stage together.

While STS9 was hammering sick sounds through the speakers of The Fillmore, Saxton Waller was creating a light show that was out of this world.  In addition to Saxton’s visual art, live painters J. Garcia and Kris D. were side by side, creating a piece of art each night.  Collectively, STS9 crushed their New Year’s extravaganza in a big way.

If you didn’t catch them during the holiday break, start looking into their upcoming tour where they play three 3-night runs in Aspen (@The Belly Up/February 13-15), Chicago (@HOB Chicago/March 5-7), and Athens (@The Georgia Theater/March 19-21).  If you want to be a part of STS9’s unique multiple night shows, do not wait to get your tickets because these performances are in high demand and will sell out.
