During March 9th – 13th, the island of Saint Matin in the Caribbean was turned into a private mecca for house and techno enthusiasts as the first annual SXMusic Festival (SXMF 2016) went down for the masses. With a giant tiki-like hut acting as one stage, beautiful people and weather, plus the scenery only found on this enchanted island, SXMF is in a league of its own when it comes to destination festivals. When it comes to lineups, the SXMF lineup was also in a league of its own. Featuring Jamie Jones, Lee Burridge, Maceo Plex, Kenny Glasgow, DJ Tennis, Thugfucker, DJ W!ld, Guy Gerber, Danny Daze, Blond:ish, Dubfire and many, many more, the SXMusic Festival lineup packed quite the punch. Music Festival Central coverage team, Sasha Charoensub (of Sasha b. Photo) and Kelly Penn, traveled all the way from New York to cover the fun in the sun as history in the Caribbean was made.
