Curators of the Symbiosis Gathering ‘Speakshops and Luminaries’ series have just announced the list of leading presenters. Symbiosis Gathering 2016 will take place September 22-25 at the Woodward Reservoir in Oakdale, California.
The list of speakers for Speakshops and Luminaries will include Vandana Shiva, Wade Davis, Winona LaDuke, Leah Song & Jasime Fuego, Erik Davis, Jennifer Dumpert, Mateo magee, Cassandra Ferrara and Meghan Walla-Murphy, among others.
Symbiosis Gathering is much bigger than just the Speakshops and Luminaries series, and is unique in that it features arts and music with a particular focus on community. It brings together leading minds in environmental and political activism, food security, permaculture, lucid dreaming, emergent technology and other fields.
Furthermore, Symbiosis will bring together art installations, live painters, musical acts on multiple stages and an art boat program. The weekend is meant to bring families together and to help them make lasting memories.
Symbiosis has also announced the return of Elemental Alchemy; set to take place leading up to Symbiosis Gathering Family Tree 2016 event. Elemental Alchemy is an educational program focused on permaculture, yoga and visionary art. This year, the program expands to include ancestral arts and ritual and performance. These subjects are taught through workshops.
Symbiosis Gathering 2016 tickets start at $260 for the Early Bird Experience (ENDS JUNE 16th) passes and Family Camp passes, while Creator Passes are $481.18. Tickets for immersive events sell for $695 and must be purchased specifically for each event (i.e. yoga, permaculture, visionary art). Car camping and RV passes are also available.
