Insomniac Events has produced festivals and concerts that have no doubt been highlights for EDM lovers across the world for over 20 years. Housing 12 separate festival brands under the Insomniac umbrella, it is the Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) branch that has made its way into the UK’s incredibly impressive festival circuit. 2016 will be the fourth consecutive year the massive promoter brings EDC United Kingdom (EDC UK) back to the south of England.
Aside from the most important headliner from the entire EDC UK lineup, YOU (as declared by Insomniac), featured acts will be showcasing their talents across four different festival areas just north of the English capital. With a capacity of 65,000 it is looking likely that the Milton Keynes Bowl will be bursting at its raver seams.
The layout is not unlike that of Insomniac’s most famous banger, EDC Las Vegas (EDC LV), with the kineticFIELD Stage hosting all the DJs we’ve been hearing on the radio since last year. Artists taking on the kineticFIELD from the EDC UK 2016 lineup include Oliver Heldens, legend Eric Prydz, two thirds of Swedish House Mafia featuring Axwell ^ Ingrosso, and, Avicii, for what is set to be his last set after the announcement of his retirement from the scene.
The cosmicMEADOW Stage is set to fulfill your trance needs with classic acts such as Ferry Corsten, Paul van Dyk, Markus Schulz and Ilan Bluestone among others. The circuitGROUNDS Stage, presented by the edgier Bassrush Experience, will be led by the Executioner himself, Mr. Andy C. Fresh off of their reunion announcement, Pendulum, has also joined the lineup along with Capsa B2B Rusko, Culture Shock, and the talented Dutch trio, Noisia. Finally, the neonGARDEN Stage is chock full of hit makers and boasts a collection of artists including Duke Dumont, Jauz, 99 Souls, Galantis and Philip George.
