It is safe to say that Glastonbury Festival is the most legendary of them all. Held annually in the UK since the 1970s, it is by far the largest greenfield festival in the world. In addition to featuring a diverse roster of contemporary music, the festival hosts dance, comedy, theatre, circus, cabaret, and other arts. The 2015 edition will be held June 26th – 28th in Pilton, Somerset, England. Glastonbury is in a league of its own, continuously selling out in less than an hour while remaining famous for being the biggest and best.
Last week, the Foo Fighters announced they will headline the sold out festival this year. They first band on the lineup to be made public, with the full lineup of artists scheduled to be released later this year. Dave Grohl announced the news along with the band in an acceptance speech video that aired at the NME Awards, where the Foo Fighters won the award for Best International Band. It will be the Foo’s first time at Glastonbury in 17 years, since they last performed at the festival back in 1998.
