From the illegal Tribal Gatherings started by David Vincent in the 90s, comes Tribal Sessions ‘Alien Avatars’ Ibiza 2016. This is the third season of the feel-good Sankeys spinoff, and it is revving up for a whopping 26-week long lineup from May 7th to October 29th at Sankeys Ibiza.
The focus of this particular series of Tribal Sessions is not unlike the others. Alien Avatars is all about music without prejudice. It will feature emerging artists and household names performing all types of music, old and new. The sole stipulation is that every song makes people feel good. The mastermind DJ behind it all is Darius Syrossian; who has previously proven to be the ultimate concert party animal.
Opening night will feature producer Josh Butler, who will be playing on a biweekly basis. Others include Jozef K, DJ Awards 2015 ‘Best Newcomer’ Manu Gonzalez, and Sankeys Sabados winner Kellie Allen. Fans are also looking forward to the popular Matt Jam Lamont stopping by for a performance on to kick off opening night.
May 14th and beyond will bring the likes of Outcross Records label’s Miguel Campbell, who will feature one Outcross artist during 13 of the 26 nights. These artists will include Minota, Iain O’Hare and Matt Hughes. Other names to look forward to are Riton, Lee Walker, Busy P (one of the record producers behind Daft Punk and Justice), Boston Bun, Breakbot, Hector, Tube & Berger, Uner, Bontan, Secondcity and ANOTR.
Painting a pretty spot on picture of David Vincent comes the theme “Alien Avatars.” His beloved dog, Sankeys the Dog, was recently abducted by aliens, according to Vincent, and was brought back as a blue avatar. Yes, you read that correctly.
Vincent described the theme as, “The Aliens have contacted Earth to let us know what is going to happen with Tribal Sessions Ibiza on Saturdays this summer and we are working under their guidance! As per their instructions, we are now building an alien jungle in the club and a communication teleport back to planet Neila so the E.T’s can Phone Home. Welcome to the Jungle!”
