Just two weeks before “The Fort” was scheduled to take place, all parties involved were informed that the historic location would not be able to accommodate the brigade of fans that would be taking over the small town of Fernandina Beach, FL. Instead of canceling altogether, Umphrey’s McGee and Lettuce decided to take those lemons and make lemonade! With the help of the show hosts, Goin’ Coastal and Wilson Brothers Entertainment, a new location was immediately sought out and the shows have been moved to St. Augustine Amphitheater in beautiful St Augustine, FL.
The shows will still be held April 10th and 11th. While many fans were originally upset about the debacle, Umphrey’s has gone above and beyond to make this last minute change of plans live up to everyone’s expectations. The new venue is located directly adjacent to Anastasia State Park and just a couple miles from historic downtown Saint Augustine, which happens to be one of the oldest cities in the United States.
All tickets have been transferred to the new location, as well as previously purchased UmVIP packages. Another perk that goes along with the change of venue is an increase in capacity. More tickets have now been released as well as the option of purchasing individual tickets for $49.50 plus tax, per night or a two day pass for $99.50 plus tax. On site camping is limited but will be honored for any attendees who had already purchased a camping pass for The Fort.
Each day of the event will kick-off with tailgating in the parking lot outside the amphitheater. Food trucks and live music are promised to bring an overall festi vibe to this pre-party. Doors will then open at 5pm on Friday, April 10th and at 3:30pm on Saturday, April 11th. The first 600 people to enter the venue with an original Fort ticket will get access to the pit area in front of the stage. With the exception of an UmVIP seated section, the rest of the amphitheater will be general admission. Original Fort ticket holders will also receive a free event poster as well as free downloads of the shows as compensation for the inconvenience.
Lettuce will kick things off each night with an extended set of funk music followed by Umphrey’s McGee with two full face-melting sets. Given this lineup’s track record, expect plenty of sit-ins and special covers throughout the weekend. Not only that, but Umphrey’s has guaranteed that the Saint Augustine shows will be one for the history books!

Late night shows will also go down each night. The Friday late night will feature Omega Moos, which includes members of Umphrey’s along with keyboardist Jamie Shields of theNEWDEAL. This very special side project attempts to capture the raw energy of 1980’s pop music in a dancy jam fashion, so prepare to get wet. The following late night will showcase another super group formally billed as the Fort Clinch Allstars. It will feature members of both Umphrey’s and Lettuce, which will be the first of its kind. Expect a funky night of tag teamed originals as well as some bust out covers to bring it all home.
