The annual Waka Winter Classic is well underway and headed through the midwest.  The Waka Winter Classic Tour travels the United States in search of the best up and coming bands and provides them with a chance to play at Wakarusa Music Festival.  In each city, five chosen musicians/bands compete for a slot to play in front of over 20,000 fans and share the stage with some of todays favorite musicians.  Decisions are based on fan votes.  The tour started in the beginning of January hitting some of the country’s hottest venues and is almost through it’s journey.  Remaining cities include Chicago, IL.;Columbia, MO.;St. Louis, MO.; Lincoln, NE ;Birmingham, AL; and Athens, GA.  The Wakarusa Music Festival shows one of the most exciting lineups this summer has to offer and the Waka Winter Classic is sure be a sweet taste of what’s to come.  So if you are in one of the remaining cities, warm yourself up with some Waka Winter tunes!!
